I think we have found our retirement place! First visit to Skye and it has exceeded our expectations. The Skye White House with ever changing views is stunning, we experienced several days of rain and winds but this added to the dramatic atmospheric feel. Looking forward to planning our next trip to Skye.

We have had a great holiday here in Skye. The cottage is lovely and the views are fabulous. Highlights include the walk to Knock Bay and the Armadale Summer Show. Thanks so much!

We eloped! The Skye White House has been perfect for us to explore the island and get ready for our tiny little wedding on the beach at Ord. It is so beautiful there. The view from the cottage has been a daily source of wonder. We have had all weathers and it's amazing how the view changes, or disappears completely. Sleat is refreshingly green and quiet compared to the rest of Skye - we will return!

Neil and Leona | May 2017

Lovely little cottage. Decor restful and a view to die for. Many thanks.

Ludovic and Fiona | Roslin | April 2017

What a wonderful cottage - had a fantastic week, very lucky with the weather and even got sunburn! Would love to come back - saw all the sights but just to stop, relax the next time is the plan. Thank you.

Kirsty and Mel | Cotswolds | March 2017

The best thing about Skye is just being here amidst the fantastic landscape. Really enjoyed the house which is very cosy with the woodburners lit. We'd definitely recommend this as a place to spend a week or two.

We had a lovely first visit to Skye and the view from the cottage is stunning. Enjoyed the woodturners at the end of busy days. The island is very relaxing and peaceful with so many delightful places to see. No midges so we were lucky! Thank you.

Pat and Ian | North Wales | August 2016

We had a wonderful week on Skye! We enjoyed the views and the warmth of the stove in the mornings and in the evenings and the quietness of the Sleat peninsula and the sea at Knock Bay. We have been on Skye 18 years ago and we enjoyed very much to come back with our children.

Simone, Gilbert, Linda and Franz | Luxembourg | August 2016

Thank you for accommodating us at the Skye White House. Everyday we looked forward to returning to a comfy, warm house and to those views to match. Skye is such a beautiful place - we could see mountain upon mountain in the distance. Highly recommended top stay here/return!

What a fabulous week we have had in Skye... So relaxing. The kids have enjoyed the beaches, seal watching and generally just playing in the garden. The Skye White House is simplicity at its best, everything you need to make for a relaxing holiday. Thanks

Great holiday! Stunning views from the cottage which was warm and cosy. Recommend Kinloch lodge for lunch. Boat trip from Elgol to Loch Coruisk also excellent

Jenny, John, Gill and Dave | October 2015

A truly wonderful week. The cottage is really terrific, well equipped and so comfortable. Really cozy, warm and welcoming. Was really terrific to meet Torsten on our stay also. We really enjoyed our nights by the fire with a lovely glass of wine after our active days. We covered lots of miles sightseeing and did a few good walks. Standout activities included the walk to the Point of Sleat, Neist Point Lighthouse (a must see), boat to Loch Coruisk (a must do), Plockton (so cute), Coral Beach (just lovely). We would love to return one day as we have had a really magical week. Will recommend to our Aussie friends! Thank you - your cottage is wonderful

Carol, John and Anne | Australia and Edinburgh | September 2015

Lovely, cosy house and so much to do that we hope to return soon to explore more of Skye's magic

Jayne and Mark | Glasgow | September 2015

As I glance out over the waters of the Sound of Sleat, light shafts paint over the slopes and the ocean again. The old castle sit and awaits patiently for a re-awakening. Clouds gather clinging over Scottish mountains. The ever changing view, the sound of the rain, rays of sun like spotlights over green pastures. We've fallen in love with Skye - this island is so much more than we expected - from the Cuillins to the sea. We loved this cottage - we felt so at home that it is very hard to leave

Dagmar and Adrian | USA | August 2015

Our last evening in this lovely cottage and have lit the fire for the first time. No need to comment on the views which, unless you're very unlucky you'll discover for yourself - and if the weather is so terrible you don't see anything the last thing you'll want to see is us saying how amazing they were. Have climbed Bla Bheinn and Beinn Sgritheall - both 'real' mountains and neither a walk in the park but well worth the effort. Enjoyed an evening at the Three Chimneys (worth saving up for). Went to Glen Elg ferry and Glen Brittle. 3 or 4 photos at @henry_bear100 (twitter) Hope to come back

K&M | Cheshire | July 2015

Great house, great views, intermittent weather - but we had a lovely stay! We recommend Lake Coruisk and Coral Beach - beautiful. We did the Misty Isle boat trip to the lake (cheapest and circled round to look at dolphins and seals)

The Brice-Stevens Family | June 2015

Thanks so much for a wonderful stay - you even managed beautiful weather. In the morning through the windows the light was like laser beams and then me oh my the view!!! Skye as ever is gorgeous, and in October with the brown hues mixed with all the other gorgeous subtle colours it was a joy to travel around. There was enough to do if you wanted to be busy with some lovely restaurants - the Three Chimneys was everything it promised but our final evening we went to Lochbay restaurant that was marvellous (but check if open in winter)! If you want to just relax and mooch about the cottage than this cottage was perfect, sofa, wine, a little whiskey, log fire and an iPad. Perfect, really just perfect

The Stanford Family | Edinburgh | October 2014

What a place! Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful home with us. Such a stunning location. We have loved watching the ever changing view, the walls, the wildlife, the food! We will certainly be back

Emma and Greg | London | April 2015

Lovely stay on Skye and the perfect spot to make the most of it here in the White House. Really lucky with the weather so days by the fire playing scrabble and drinking wine were kept to a minimum. We did move the TV and DVD player to the living room so nights on the sofa watching a film were also a perfect way to end a day's exploration. We recommend the Point of Sleat walk - a good way to get started. Let us know if you ever come to sell up - we had a fantastic week - who'd thought we were in the same country. Off to catch the ferry now! Thank you

Rich and Sarah | Oxford | November 2014

Lovely house, great position with lovely views. Enjoyed our week. The woodburners make the house very cosy and warm!

Malcolm and Kirtsy | Paisley | October 2016

We absolutely enjoyed our stay in the White House and we definitely want to come back. Skye is astonishing. Skye White House is redecorated/restored with great (Scandinavian) taste, we just adore the simplicity and minimalism. See you again.

We have had a wonderful week at the cottage - the view is fantastic and we have had a week of fabulous weather - sunny every day. This is our 2nd year holidaying on Skye and we will certainly be back!

We loved the cottage! It was a real home away from home. The breathtaking views of the ever-changing scenery from the windows, cosy fires in the evening after hiking and exploring Skye. Thanks for letting us stay at your beautiful place.

A glorious week of blue skies and sunshine. Caught up with friends - re-visited 'old haunts'. Our young friends loved their first to the island.

We've had a truly magical week on Skye. It is not our first time here, but it is our first time on the beautiful Sleat peninsula. The cottage has been great - ideally located with everything we needed for a perfect week. Thanks!

We have had a relaxing week at the White House and have particularly enjoyed the fires each evening. The view from the house is stunning. Slept really well, very comfy bed.

We have had a wonderful week at the Skye White House. Of course we enjoyed the views, the warmth of the stove in the evening, the quietness of Sleat peninsula compared to other areas of Skye. We were so lucky with the weather, lots of sunshine, no midges (!) We will certainly be back one day!

Had a fantastic stay at this lovely cottage. It's a wonderful time of year, to visit the island with the everlasting evenings. It's been great and we hope to return to this magical island!

Ruth | London | June 2016

Arrived at the cottage in the pitch dark. Beautiful - so homely and cosy. We woke up the next day, opened the blinds and were absolutely speechless! The views here are incredible. Did not expect that after arriving in the pitch dark - lovely surprise to wake up to! We were a bit worried about the weather with it being the start of January, but have been very lucky, yesterday was beautiful - took a drive to the Fairy Pools - amazing - and then had a lovely walk up the Old Man of Storr. Came home after a long day of walking and sightseeing, got the fire going, glass (or2!) of Prosecco - bliss! Have had an amazing few days - wish we could stay longer! Bed is so comfortable, bath lovely, will hopefully be back again. Thank you.

Joanne and Lewis | Fife | January 2016

We have had a lovely week in your lovely cottage. Survived a storm and cosied up by the log fire. Stunning views through the mist and rain. Watched the bay lit up by lightning...enjoyed every minute

Ruth and John | Edinburgh | November 2015

We have had fantastic weather all week and cannot believe our luck - especially for our first visit to Skye. The views from the cottage are truly wonderful and have made this a magical holiday. Some favourite trips include glass bottom boat (sailing from Kyleakin), Dunvegan Castle (beautiful gardens), Isle of Ornsay (pretty spot just up the road), walk to the Point of Sleat. A beautiful island to drive around with wonderful walks for all abilities. We'll be back

Sharon, John and Mandy | Dunblane and Northamptonshire | September 2015

Just spent the last week in your lovely little cottage. We have done some lovely little walks whilst we have been here. Recommend the Skye Pie Cafe and Cafe SIA (Baked Alaska was gorgeous). We will really miss this cottage and waking up to the most amazing views - therapy for the eyes - thank you so much

Lovely cottage - stunning view (better than expected). A lovely restful, calming place! Highlights of the week - walk to Point of Sleat (stunning white sandy beach) and Coral Beach. Took Misty Isle boat trip - well worth the time and money. Leaving Skye on a windy, rainy day but still sad to leave, thanks

The Hall Family | July 2015

The Skye White House is absolutely gorgeous! Such a cracking view from the bench, windows and amazing to wake up to and open the blinds to see Knock Bay. Connor and I have loved every day here whether it be sunshine or rain. I've always wanted to visit Skye and it's even more beautiful and picturesque than I could've ever imagined. The cottage has been wonderful to stay in, beautiful garden, lovely neighbours. Gorgeous break and peaceful atmosphere. Thank you for allowing us to stay here. It's been a wonderful honeymoon. Such a braw and bonny place

Connor and Iona | The Newlyweds | June 2015

Our stay has been short and sweet - we've felt very at home here. Ventured out each day but spent some time enjoying the stunning views from the cottage, and making good use of the kitchen. The bed and bedding so so comfortable and a glorious view to wake up to. Many thanks
